In the book of Judges, we learn about a guy called Gideon. He was a pretty normal guy. He didn’t consider himself to be of much value – but God chose to use him in a mighty way. Israel was being oppressed by the Midianites and God had chosen Gideon to lead an Army to victory. Gideon mustered up an Army of 32,000 people. God first told Gideon to send home any that didn’t want to be there – that left 10,000. God then further trimmed that number to just 300 men. That meant each man of Gideons Army would be up against 450 Midianites. Talk about stacked odds! The Israelites followed Gods plan and had a mighty victory.
