In 2 Samuel 7 we read how David was keen to upgrade the Tabernacle and build a Temple. God had other plans – God told David that He would build a house for David – that being an everlasting Kingdom. We looked at passages such as Isaiah 9:6-7 and Luke 1:30-33 that speak of Jesus ultimately fulfilling Gods promise to David. The problem is that David’s throne wasn’t around at that time – Rome was in charge. This Kingdom will be established after Daniels 70th week and the Lord Jesus will rule and reign for 1000 years (and ultimately all through eternity).
